Kwa-Zulu

Ujikelele brings a 12-track Maskandi album titled Kwa-Zulu, adding a substantial new release to the genre’s 2026 calendar. The album arrives on 22 September 2026, with a tracklist that moves between solo cuts and a selection of confirmed collaborations.

The project opens with Dear Soka Lami before moving into Igolide, which features Mzukulu. Wawubathathelani follows with Umfana Wekhansela, while Abangani Bakho gives the early part of the album a solo entry. The title track, Kwa-Zulu, appears as the fifth song and includes Inyosi Magwiny' imbuzi.

From there, Ujikelele continues with Ngiyobabonga, Igwababa and Ngiyaphuma Ebafaneni. The album’s later stretch includes Iqed'ukwenzani Lento, followed by Uzanempi featuring Mpilo Khumalo. Abafana Bama-Arbiter and Izono Zami complete the tracklist.

The collaborations are spread across the album rather than grouped into one section, with Mzukulu, Umfana Wekhansela, Inyosi Magwiny' imbuzi and Mpilo Khumalo each appearing on separate tracks. The remaining songs are credited to Ujikelele alone, giving Kwa-Zulu a clear balance between solo performances and guest appearances.

With 12 tracks to explore, Kwa-Zulu gives listeners a full-length introduction to Ujikelele’s latest Maskandi offering. Check out the complete album and its featured collaborations when it arrives in September 2026.
