uMjovo

Blacks Jnr brings a full 12-track Gqom album to the table with uMjovo, set for release on 5 November 2026. The project carries a strong collaborative presence from the opening track, “Umthandazo” featuring Zeh McGeba, through to the closing cut, “Gqobetsa” featuring Woza Bakzin.

The tracklist moves through a series of featured link-ups, including “Coffin Dance” with Stingrey and Dee Traits, “Umuzi Uyasha” with Uncool MC and DJ Tira, and “Mjovo Cartel” featuring Moh&DaLee, Moh and DaLee. These collaborations make up much of the album’s running order, while Blacks Jnr remains the central name across all 12 tracks.

Further guest appearances arrive on “Yasizwa Le'sgubhu”, which features Uncool MC and Misfit, followed by “Izandla Emoyeni” with Dankie Boi and “Bayavuma” featuring Captain. The album also includes “Notification” with Elevatorz and “5 am In Kwa-Mashu” featuring Goldmax.

Among the later tracks, “Wishi Wishi” brings together Da Soul Boyz and Futha Mfethu, while “Inkombane” is credited to Blacks Jnr alone. The album’s title also appears in “Mjovo Cartel”, giving the tracklist a direct connection to the project name without turning the release into a solo-only affair.

With its 12-song tracklist and wide list of collaborators, uMjovo gives Gqom listeners a substantial new project to explore from Blacks Jnr. From “Umthandazo” at the start to “Gqobetsa” at the finish, the album is built around a clear run of feature-driven cuts and a final solo entry before its closing collaboration.
