Sekukaningi

Babomncane puts together a sizeable Maskandi album with Sekukaningi, a 13-track release dated 10 September 2026. Every song includes at least one featured artist, making collaboration a defining part of the tracklist. Sgwebo seNtambo appears throughout the entire album, from the opening cut to the closing track.

Sekukaningi begins with “Bhinca Lami”, featuring Sgwebo seNtambo and Njabulo Langa. It moves into “Usawoti Olwandle”, where Shenge wasehlalaNkosi and Cevuzile join Babomncane and Sgwebo seNtambo. The title track follows in third place, while other selections across the album include “Ukuba Mdala”, “Sixabene Sodwa”, “Wayencono” and “Ingoma Yami”.

The guest list expands further on “Ngeke Ngikuyeke”, which features UQoqa alongside the album’s ever-present collaborator. UMnotho appears three times, joining “Umuntu Westhathu”, “Ngiyaqala” and the finale, “Isithembu Sakho”. That closing song carries one of the album’s busiest line-ups, with Sgwebo seNtambo, UMnotho and Mjabulisi all credited.

Several tracks keep the focus on the pairing of Babomncane and Sgwebo seNtambo. “Sekukaningi”, “Ukuba Mdala”, “Sixabene Sodwa”, “Wayencono”, “Asinawo Amandla”, “Ingoma Yami” and “Ubashalazele Njalo” are all credited to the duo without additional guests.

With its long-running central collaboration and a wider cast appearing at key points, Sekukaningi gives Maskandi followers plenty to work through. Check out Babomncane’s complete 13-track album and explore its full guest line-up.
